Dolphin Encounters Ltd Rebrands as Blue Lagoon Island

After more than 25-years of trading as Dolphin Encounters, the Bahamian owned and operated private island destination has unveiled a new corporate brand identity, name and logo.

Dolphin Encounters Ltd. remains the legal name of the company, but the decision was made to rebrand as Blue Lagoon Island to better reflect the complete list of products and experiences offered.

“When we first started 30 years ago, we were exclusively a dolphin interaction attraction. Today, we have Sea Lion Encounters, Stingray Encounters, Beach Day packages, Segway Safaris, Eco Nature Walking Tours and continue to add new exciting programs, so we decided to rebrand as the destination where visitors and locals actually go to enjoy all that we have to offer,” explained (Robert Meister, Managing Director Dolphin Encounters Ltd.

In order to avoid confusion for those who have come to know and love the original brand, the company logo incorporates the words ‘home of Dolphin Encounters’ under the Blue Lagoon Island brand. As the new brand and logo become known and embraced, the company anticipates that Blue Lagoon Island will stand alone.

The original logo has been replaced throughout the island and in all printed and online materials with the Blue Lagoon Island logo and the company plans to change the URL of its website from www.dolphinencounters.com to www.bahamasbluelagoon.com. The domain change will coincide with the development of a rebranded site that better communicates the range of products and experiences offered by the Bahamian company.

All of the company’s social media handles will also be changed to reflect the new brand and those channels will be used to effectively communicate the brand change.
