Dolphin Encounters offers programs that meet everyone's needs, even timid or non-swimmers can enjoy a program and make their dream of meeting a dolphin come true. We also work closely with special needs guests. With arrangements made at the time of reservation, we can accommodate any person with a physical and/or mental special need in a program that they will enjoy. We also have a waterproof wheelchair that allows guests to meet the dolphins face to face. The facility is wheel chair accessible and we also work closely with the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Boat to Private Island

When looking for things to do in Nassau, Bahamas – keep in mind that Dolphin Encounters on Blue Lagoon Island is only a boat ride away.

What makes a visit to Dolphin Encounters unique is the fact that our guests must travel to a private island to visit the home of our dolphins and sea lions. The boat ride to and from Blue Lagoon is as equally popular as the interaction with our marine mammals. Gorgeous vistas of Nassau, Paradise Island and surrounding cays through turquoise waters make the trip memorable. Our boats are large, high-speed catamarans that can hold more than 100 people each and has a captain and two mates on board to assure a safe and informative trip. Each boat is equipped with life vests and a restroom.

Getting to Our Ticket Window

Guests staying on Paradise Island can easily walk to our ticket window located at the Paradise Island Ferry Terminal across the street from Atlantis and Marina Village.
We can provide bus transportation for guests staying at other hotels located in Nassau at an additional cost of $8.00pp round-trip or less if you are staying on Paradise Island. Please let us know at the time you make your reservation that you would like bus transportation. Payment will be made directly to the driver.
