Internship Program

Overview

People looking to get a head start in any career should begin early and never pass up an opportunity to gain experience in a field that interests them. Marine careers are no different. Opportunities such as internships, citizen science programs, and mentoring provide a meaningful glimpse into this exciting field — giving students an advantage over those without experience.

The Blue Lagoon Internship Program is designed for students and recent graduates seeking hands-on experience in marine science, animal care, and education. Interns work side-by-side with experienced marine animal trainers and educators as they participate in daily routines and guest service interactions. The program can also fulfill research or work-study requirements and provides valuable resume-building opportunities.
