Jr. Citizen Scientist

Overview

The Jr. Citizen Scientist Program is a safe and engaging marine adventure created especially for children in Grades K through 2. Students travel to Blue Lagoon Island aboard a professional ferry and are guided by Marine Educators through a fun-filled day of discovery.

This program introduces young learners to dolphins, sea lions, stingrays, sharks, coral reef creatures, and intertidal animals. Kids participate in hands-on, age-appropriate activities that teach conservation and marine life concepts — without ever getting their toes wet.

Each group’s visit includes educational demonstrations, art-based activities, games, and a puppet show. Students receive a take-home activity book, and teachers receive helpful classroom resources. It's the perfect introduction to marine science for our youngest explorers.
