VIP SERVICES MANAGER

JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the VIP Services Manager is to manage all day to day operations of the VIP Beach/Events/Groups in accordance with Blue Lagoon’s policies, practices, and procedures to ensure guest satisfaction and revenue optimization. The manager is expected to interface and engage with VIP guests to provide a warm welcome and a higher level of personalized service.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Lead and manage scheduling, hiring, training as well as coaching of VIP staff to deliver exceptional service standards.
  • Ensures quality services and standards are maintained on a daily basis.
  • Maintains inventory of all VIP areas.
  • Develops and coordinates operational procedures with the Beach Service and Food and Beverage Manager to ensure operational /service standards are achieved.
  • Implements best practices and pilot new initiatives as requested.
  • Responds to and resolves guest complaints on a timely basis.
  • Provides inspection of all VIP Beaches prior to guest arrival.
  • Establish and maintains an inspection program to ensure all standards of cleanliness and food quality are maintained.
  • Ensures the beaches are set up and broken down on a daily basis.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Degree in hospitality, business management or diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literate
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in V.I.P. Service as a manager or assistant with exceptional leadership skills
  • Experience working with high-end guests – such as Villa Service, Guest Service, or Casino Services.
  • Experience in training and mentoring employees in individual and teams skills

HUMAN RESOURCES SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY

This individual will be expected to ensure the company’s standards are maintained throughout the organization. The HR Supervisor should be able to juggle many responsibilities while maintaining confidentiality and a positive attitude.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Assist with job postings and recruiting
  • Provide assistance with interviews and vetting new staff.
  • Hiring, orientation and all on-boarding processes.
  • Benefits administration.
  • Provide assistance and conduct training as needed.
  • Identifying and addressing employee issues and disciplinary procedures.
  • Performing various administrative tasks and accurately processing paperwork.
  • Counseling staff on HR policies, practices, and procedures.

  • Estimating food requirements as well as food/labor costs
  • Assigning work in the kitchen

  • Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to guests in a timely fashion
  • Keeping up with industry trends and creating new delectable dishes

ADVENTURE TOURS SUPERVISOR

JOB SUMMARY

This individual will be responsible for the supervision of a team of tour guides that conduct fun, motorized guided tours in addition to nature walk tours.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

  • Oversee all aspects of daily Segway operations at Blue Lagoon including upholding company policies, guest relations and safety.
  • Ensure daily reports are submitted.
  • Scheduling, training and discipline of staff.
  • Assist in the organizing, sanitizing and maintaining all daily rental equipment.
  • Become proficient in the safe operation of a Segway and the ability to teach those skills to staff and guests.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • 3 to five years’ experience in a supervisory/management position
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position a plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

TRAINERS

JOB SUMMARY

TRAINERS

  • Must have 3 to 4 years’ experience working with dolphins
  • Experience with other marine animals a plus
  • Must be Scuba Certified

ASSOCIATE TRAINERS

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a dolphin trainer
  • Experience with sharks or stingrays a plus
  • Must be Scuba Certified

ANIMAL CARE

  • Must possess a high school diploma with C or above in BGCSE Math and English
  • Must be Scuba Certified

LANDSCAPERS

Will develop and provide care maintenance to all green spaces on Blue Lagoon Island in addition to pathways. Landscapers will rake, mulch, trim, as well as perform minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in landscaping. Other duties include watering plants as needed and applying fertilizer or growth enhancers, landscape by planting flowers, grass, shrubs and trees based on landscape design. Weed/remove unwanted trees and plants as assigned, climb and trim coconut trees, maintain walkways and walking paths, build forms and mix and pour cement to form garden borders.
